Something to Think About… or Maybe Not!

•April 17, 2010 • Leave a Comment

You’ll probably say I’m full of shit.. or that I’m looking to deep into something that is not. Or Hell, maybe I’m seeing something that is really not there. But with that said I’m just going to put this info out there… and if it’s already out there then thats even better… more-so if its from a very well trusted and reputable source…. here we go….

What has Happened..........
===========================================
[] Since the beginning of this year, we have had several major earthquakes in places that have been known to have quakes.. but these have been severe. Nothing unusual.. but if you were to count them all since the beginning of the year.. there have been as many as to push the count past the 1,000 mark… and thats just a minimum estimate. The Easter Day quake down in Baja has really just opened a can of whoop ass to that region. Throwing that region into a quake swarm that just for that area alone has put the quakes past the 1,000 mark as well (Goes to show how high is the overall number). Recently there have been some movement up north near and around the Yellow Stone National Park area (The largest a 4.9) and if most of you didn’t know.. the park itself.. all several hundred miles of it.. is a GIANT Super Volcano… the biggest on the planet…

What I think Might Happen…….
===========================================
[] Okay so all this shit about movement and what not has really got me thinking… this HAS to have some sort of connection. There are two maps showing the activities for the past week up to now. These maps point out the areas where there has been movement. I’ve noticed that these are near or around the pacific ring of fire… mostly in areas of high activity. Then there’s the volcano eruption in Iceland (might not have a thing to do with us here in the pacific, but still).. something is brewing beneath the earth’s crust… Something Big.

The Point….
[] Be Prepared!!… Yea, nothing may happen here in Los Angeles, but YOU never know. It’s best just to prepare for the worst, which I think Might and could happen. Think about it.. the more time the San Andreas Fault goes without budging… the stronger the quake will be when it does.. its sort of storing all that energy that it will release. Hopefully I wasted my time and nothing will happen and all I said is wrong… Hopefully.

Sorry for writing so much… I’m really sorry but I think I got carried away… But all in all..

I’m Just Sayin’!!!!

Lets Do This…

Today is March 8, 2010… Today marks the beginning of a “transformation” if you will. Today I begin my exercise routine that I’m hoping to keep up with for the rest of the year. This wont be just a monthly thing.. but will continue until the end of 2010 and possibly beyond it as well. The exercise I’m starting today with is a stationary bike for 30 minutes. 5-10 minute warm up then 30 minutes of Regular paced running on the bike. For this week only I’m only doing the bike to re-condition myself into doing this. The Process is as follows..

Week1: 5 Minute WarmUp, 15 Minute Bike session (Non-Stop)
Week2: 5 Minute WarmUp, 30 Minute Bike Session (Non-Stop)
Week3: 10 Minute WarmUp, 15 Minute Light Weights, 30 Mins Bike
Week4: 10 Minute WarmUp, 15 Minute Light Weights, 30 Mins Bike
Week5: 15 Minute WarmUp, 20 Minute Light Weights, 40 Mins Bike
Week6: 15 Minute WarmUp, 20 Minute Light Weights, 40 Mins Bike
Week7: 20 Minute WarmUp, 25 Minute Light Weights, 50 Mins Bike
Week8: 20 Minute WarmUp, 25 Minute Light Weights, 50 Mins Bike

… And SO on.. this is the schedule I created to workout too. This will be in conjunction with a healthier diet. So I hope this works out really well.

A New Challenge

Digitizing.., originally uploaded by J. Navarro.

So this weekend a new challenge was brought upon me. My mother has a somewhat medium collection of old Vinyls from her childhood. She purchased a Memorex USB Turntable to try and turn her entire collection into the digital form! Now here’s the thing, she knows computers only to the level of what she uses at work. Which is Word, Excel (Very knowledgeable) E-mail, and limited media burning and what not. So she entrusted me in doing the digitizing. Making them all MP3’s. To begin with the whole process, I used Audacity on her Mac Book Pro and it worked out well. But being that I’ve used windows since Windows 98, working on the mac was a bit of a challenge. But after a few trial and errors, I managed to get at least one whole record in. I think I’m going to just continue the process over on my windows machine. Let’s see how that goes.

Well today is quite an interesting day. I am at the time of this post still at work. I’m currently debating if I should grab something to eat or if I’m cool.

Morning from Hyperion, originally uploaded by J. Navarro.

Well it’s been a while since I last wrote here.. and that is after saying I wouldn’t do that. Well not a lot of things have changed, everything is still pretty much the same. Obviously the only thing that is different is the date, its almost the end of 2009!!! My car finally has new rotors and brakes in the front.. but needs the rear ones BIG TIME! I think I’ll change them soon.. if money allows. And being that my girlfriend does not read this blog (thank goodness hahah) I can say what I got her for Christmas. I’m getting her a PS3 Slim, with Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time!! She loves that game bug time!! She totally passed the PSP Version!! so its going to be pretty good!!!

It’s Been A While…

Well its been quite a while since I last wrote, I had a down-spell of laziness… but I have regained my strength and now I’m back in force! So these past few weeks have been interesting. Nothing BIG or anything permanently changing occurred, just small events. For example, the photo you see there is of my car getting 2 new pair of shoes!! And it was a long time coming. The front passenger side tire had a slow leak on it for quite a while… and on Sunday… it just gave up and became completely flat! I drove it to the gas station, to change the tire to the donut… and fill up on gas… then did the dumbest thing ever… drove from My Home (Walnut Park) to West Covina. My uncle had a small little “kick back” for our family with BBQ style chicken, hot dogs and sodas… and yes WATER… and of course since we are mexican.. we had sweet bread with coffee available as well. Well BACK to the tire situation. On Tuesday I had to call off work in order to get my tires. I drove to Fairmount Tires on Slauson ave, and purchased 2 tires… both were $89 bucks a pop….$190 for both, after uncle sam added his share of the wealth. Next pay check I’ll be back at the very same spot to get 2 new ones for the rear.. pretty soon my sentra will have 4 brand spanking new shoes!!!!

I have a little bit of time (sleep time has passed)… but today was a very boring day for me… not productive at all. The only thing I can say is that I spent time with my gf and ate me some grilled hotdogs… yay!

Friday Night @ Kogi…

Friday night was a very nice and eventful night. Me and girlfriend and her sister took off to grab some grub from Kogi’s Roja @ Echo Park. Me and my gf ordered the Black Jack Quesadillas, and her sister got 2 chicken tacos. We walked into the little store that was at the location the truck parked and bought some lemon bread and some sodas… oh and chips! We got back to the car and attacked our food from kogi. Afterwards, we drove to a “street fair” going on at a parking lot. We walked around, looking at the rides, and just cruising on foot. Soon after we took off…and decided to just drive around. I had remembered of a spot where you could see much of the city due to the street’s height, so we got there… and as we were about to admire the city, the fireworks show @ Doger Stadium begun… talk about arriving at the right place and at the right time!! It was great!!…. the show lasted about 7 to 10 minutes… .heart shaped fireworks, a happy face… it was quite a nice show…. it wasn’t long after the show finished that we were back again driving. This time I headed down sunset and got on the 101 Fwy, headed towards Highland blvd…. we then cruised by Hollywood blvd, and Highland, and just enjoyed the ambient atmosphere….. after this, we left and I dropped them off at home… and then I came home myself and just knocked out…

What a nice friday!

My Weekend…

Heading towards Oxnard…, originally uploaded by J. Navarro.

So it’s Monday August 17, 2009. The weekend came and went, and to my dismay, it happened all too fast. Saturday was a very cool day, began normal, nothing too out of the ordinary. Watched the movie “Goonies” and also “All Dogs Go To Heaven”… so that took almost half the day. At around 1 or 2pm my girlfriend gave me a rang and invited me to a birthday party in Oxnard @ her uncles house. At first I was a bit hesitant in going because my front right tire has a very slow leak, and Oxnard is far from my house which is here in Walnut Park / Huntington Park. But after a while thinking of yes or no.. it had gotten to be 5pm. I said yes and took off to her house. Filled up all tires with air, and the car with fuel. Her uncle is a very nice guy, as well as her entire family. They are very opened armed and are very polite. Her family don’t know that I am her boyfriend right now, but even with that… they are so amazing to me. The party was very cool, had great food and had some nice music. But halfway through the party, things began to get bad. My girlfriend apparently got food poisoned and began to tell me that her chest and stomach were hurting really really bad. I got a bit worried and told her I would go to the store and bring some excedrin, which I use all the time and it works so good for me. But she didn’t want me to go so I stayed. Finally her parents found out and soon me her mom, her dad and uncle went to the local CVS. I purchased a Extra Strength bottle of quick release gel pills and gave 2 of them to her. And as no suprise to me, within 30 minutes her pain began to leave her, and about an hour and a half later, the pain was almost all but gone. And to add a bit of a punch to this, the police showed up @ around 12:20am to shut down the party and issued warnings to the home owner. Soon after we took off and went home. Sunday was very quiet, I caught up with some stuff recorded on my TV show such as the American Le Mans race in Elthart Lake. Thats pretty much my whole weekend. We’ll see what next week holds in store as my funds are beginning to run a bit low.

The Day @ Work

•August 13, 2009 • Leave a Comment

The day went okay, actually it went pretty cool. No big problems or anything, just small annoyances here and there. But as usual they flow out of me like gas (yes, a fart joke). Being that I’m on a budget now, a $10 a day budget for work, I had only 5 dollars for lunch as I split the ten dollars between breakfast and lunch. For lunch I had a Chicken and bacon ranch six inch sandwich and I must say that it was REALLY good. Although it did not fill me up, but the day continued. Got home finally after work like around 1:55pm, hit the shower pretty fast, then just sat down to watch some of my recorded shows on my dvr. Now I sit here pondering what to eat. I did eat a small helping of beans with cheese and a slice of bread… it was pretty good.
